Graduate Student Colloquium

This meeting of the Graduate Student Colloquium will feature a guest speaker, Prof. Stefan Haas, Director of the DAAD’s Information Centre (Toronto). Prof. Haas will present details on the DAAD’s support programs for graduate students interested in study/research in Germany.

The second meeting of the CCGES Graduate Diploma Student Colloquium will take place Tuesday, October 3rd at the Centre. Prospective diploma program students are asked to submit their completed application forms, along with the required supporting documentation, to CCGES by this date.

Additionally, those students planning to travel to Germany/Austria for study or research during the 2007-08 academic year are requested to make an appointment with either of the Colloquium’s Faculty Coordinators, Profs. Burkard Eberlein and Susan Ingram, to discuss their plans in advance of the October 3rd meeting.

Talk: History, Politics and Identity: Anglophone Arabic Women Writers Mediating Cultures in Europe

Graduate Student Colloquium

At this first meeting of Graduate Student Colloquium, we invite both students currently registered for, or interested in, the CCGES Graduate Diploma Program to join us to learn about the Program and the plans for this year’s colloquium.

This year’s faculty coordinators of the colloquium, Professors Burkard Eberlein and Susan Ingram, will outline the plans for this year’s colloquium and answer any questions students may have.

The Canada-EU Bridge Workshop Supported by European Commission’s Delegation to Canada

This workshop will bring to a conclusion the first phase of CCGES’ work on a comprehensive inventory of academic mobility opportunities (study exchanges, work placements, etc.) between post-secondary institutions in Canada and the member states of the European Union. At this event, which will bring together a academics, administrators and funders from both sides of the Atlantic, feedback will be given on the initial draft of the Canada-EU Bridge Project inventory and discussion will take place on how to overcome the hurdles facing academic mobility between Canadian and EU post-secondary institutions.
