Ben Bryce

Benjamin Bryce became affiliated with the CCGES in 2006 when he began his MA in history at York. In 2007-2008, he participated in a graduate student exchange to the Freie Universität in Berlin where he wrote his Major Research Paper. Benjamin began his PhD in September 2008. He represented the CCGES at a conference in Konstanz in December 2008 and on a study trip to observe the German federal elections in September 2009.

He defended his dissertation, “Making Ethnic Space: Education, Religion, and the German Language in Argentina and Canada, 1880-1930,” in January 2013. His research has been supported by the German Academic Exchange Service as well as several Canadian and international grants and scholarships.
