Workshop: Combatting Human Trafficking in Canada and Europe

This event will begin with a panel discussion featuring Ms. Patsy Soerensen of Payoke, a European NGO working to combat human trafficking. Other panelists will represent government, the media and academe. Af the conclusion of the discussion, Ms. Sorenson will deliver a keynote address.

In addition to the above, a small art exhibit containing works inspired by the theme of human trafficking will be available for viewing.

CCGES is pleased to be co-presenting this event with York’s Department of Political Science and OISE’s Centre for Women’s Studies in Education.

Ms. Soerensen’s appearance has been made possible through the support of the European Commission’s EU Public Diplomacy Project in Canada.
