Michał Matlak

Michał Matlak is a PhD candidate in Political Science at Wrocław University, Poland and a member of that school’s Willy Brandt Centre for German and European Studies. Mr. Matlak is at CCGES thanks to a program supported by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) which is  intended to strengthen links between CCGES and our sister Centre at the Université de Montréal and the Willy Brandt Centre.

In addition to his studies, Mr. Matlak is also the Vice-President of the Youth Regional Network of the Assembly of European Regions, a Strassbourg-based NGO which included representatives of 33 nations  and a forum for interregional co-operation.

Mr. Matlak recently published his first book, “Poland in Europe, Europe in Poland”, a look at the europeanization of the country over the past 15 years. While at CCGES, he will deliver a talk based on this book on Thursday, November 17th from 12:30 to 2:oo pm in room 749 York Research Tower. All are welcome.
